The SUO fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center is a two-year program, with one year of dedicated research and one year of clinical experience. The clinical year exposes the fellow to a high-volume experience in all aspects of urologic oncology, including surgical management, chemotherapy and immune-based therapeutics, and radiotherapy. The clinical expertise of the 5 uro oncology faculty assures extensive hands-on experience with complex open, endoscopic, and minimally-invasive/robotic-assisted approaches. The fellows will work at the three institutions that comprise the core of the Loyola University Urology Program: Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC), Loyola Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (GMH) and the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital (teaching affiliate). The core teaching faculty work in all three institutions, and the fellows will be expected to participate in the clinical care delivery and multi-disciplinary urologic oncology programs at all three institutions.
