The SUO Urologic Oncology Fellowship, led by Program Director Dr. John Gore and Associate Program Director Dr. Sarah Psutka, is based at University of Washington Medical Center where Fellows interact closely with 7 core faculty (Drs. Gore and Psutka as well as William Ellis, Daniel Lin, Jonathan Wright, George Schade, Yaw Nyame, Atreya Dash) alongside UW urology residents and medical students. The 2-year program includes clinical and research experience as follows: the first year is a dedicated mentored research year with 80% protected time and 20% clinical time; the second year is a clinical year with cancer-specific rotations to promote deeper exposure to surgical and multidisciplinary care.
